Have you ever dropped your keys in the lake? Well neither have I, but the thought of accidentally dropping my truck keys in the lake has crossed my mind when I’m fishing 50 miles from the nearest cell tower. There are floating key fobs, floating flashlights, probably even floating fob flashlights, but do any of them automatically turn on when they fall in the water? Coleman’s marine key fobs does.
Coleman’s patented auto-on technology turns the flashlight on when it falls into the water, making it easier to find — especially at night. The Chinese-made flashlight uses 2 CR2016 coin cells to power two bright 5mm LEDs that can also be switched on normally.
Coleman claims the fob will float two keys, but I’d double check that claim in the sink before I trusted it in open water. You’ll end up paying around $10 for the fob.
