As we noted earlier, Jacobs closed its last US plant. This seems to have generated closeout deals on some Jacobs products. Amazon has the Jacobs 6208 1B Medium Duty Chuck for $15.60 w/ SS shipping, which is about half of what they used to cost (list prices never meant much, but it’s a discount from the normal discount). It’s worth your while surfing the Jacobs listings [What’s This?] on Amazon, as there are some fantastic deals on milling toolholders and other chucks as well. Just make sure you cross check prices — some stuff is still at retail.
