About the Room Names:

The Pazhitnov

Aleksei Leonidovich Pazhitnov is a computer engineer from Russia who developed the popular video game Tetris in 1984. He began working for Microsoft in 1996, and has received multiple industry awards over the years. According to tetris.com, Tetris is widely recognized as the game that gave birth to the casual gaming industry.

The Teuber Room

Klaus Teuber is a well-known German designer of board games. He has won the Spiel des Jahres award four times, most notably for The Settlers of Catan. Over 15 million games in the Catan series have been sold, and the game has been translated into thirty languages from the original German.

The Jackson Lounge

Steve Jackson is a prolific American game designer. During his time at Metagaming, they published his Ogre, G.E.V., Melee, and Wizard, among others. In 1980, Steve started his own company, Steve Jackson Games. Some of his most famous games have been Car Wars, Illuminati, Munchkin, and GURPS, the "Generic Universal Roleplaying System."

The Gygaxitorium

Ernest Gary Gygax (27 July 1938 – 4 March 2008) was an American writer and game designer famous for designing the fantasy role playing game Dungeons and Dragons with co-creator Dave Arneson in 1974. Gygax is generally acknowledged as the father of role-playing games, and his influence can be felt in every aspect of the hobby.

The Garfield Deck

Richard Channing Garfield is a mathematics professor and game designer who launched the modern Collectible Card Game genre with his 1993 creation of Magic: The Gathering. Garfield created other popular games during his heyday at Wizards of the Coast, including Netrunner, Battle-Tech CCG, Vampire: The Eternal Struggle, The Great Dalmuti, and the board game Robo Rally.

The Rein·Hagen Haus

Mark Rein·Hagen is a game designer and co-founder of White Wolf Games. He is best known as the creator of Vampire: The Masquerade and its associated World of Darkness games. Rein·Hagen is also one of the original two designers of Ars Magica along with Jonathan Tweet. Rein·Hagen served as a writer and producer for Kindred: The Embraced, a TV show based on Vampire that aired in 1996.
