Session 2

GM Note: everyone gets another 20 points to add to their character.

Author Note: I've cleaned up my notes, but I'm going to be moving this weekend, so I decided to put up at least what I had to at least get this out before the next session... it's not pretty and there are some chunks missing, but at least there are facts. I invite you to clean up as much as you'd like.

When we last left off the amazing crew…

Thomas is getting ready troops. Sakura stayed safe for a while, and is now shadow shifting towards Gizette. Solomon is going to be trumping Gizette. Aife buries her mother, and head to House Hendrake, and is going to trump Gizette. Durus gets a hold of a unicorn priest, Talks to Benedict, takes care of prisoners. Gizette is down in the dungeons, finds Bleys, finds a rose, freaks, talks to Durus. They then try to wake Fiona.

Sakura is shadow shifting for Gizette, and finds herself at House Candent. She gets a hold of a servant who leads Sak to the infirmary, where Giz and Durus are over Fiona and a dead Ellison. Sakura races over and tries to help Gizette, at the same time Solomon makes a trump call, linking in. Durus grabs the platform and begins to rip it out. Sakura and Solomon back up Gizette. Durus rips out the bed and breaks the psychic contact. Solomon steps through. “She’s really mad.” States Gizette. For the moment that Gizette was in contact with Fiona, she was able to detect that something was off, that she’s not well. Gizette makes introductions. They discuss Fi’s illness and what it could possibly be.

Thomas establishes troops, starts investigating Chaos.

Aife heads to Amber, looks about, trumps Gizette. After the conversation she heads to the grove, and after a while finds a girl-child is watching. “You’ve been waiting for me.” There’s some talk and she disappears into thin air.

Durus gets a trump call from Brand. He asks where Ellison’s body is and where Gerard is. Durus has Ellison’s body and does not know where Gerard is. After some discussion, there’s a psychic love-in where everyone shares a lot of experiences. One figure of note is a girl at the age of 8 or 9, black hair with green eyes, a messenger for the unicorn.

Gizette trumps an artificer person in Chaos to look for a psychic barrier designed, a Lady Deleria.

Thomas gets Chaosian recon information, that there truly is some sort of large army forming with some great leader. Speaks with Brand, then Speaks with Bleys.

The Fi team start doing advanced shapeshifting surgery to remove some foreign substance in her and throughout her system. Solomon notes that she’s fighting against it, but not really putting much effort in it, it seems she’s working on something in her head. Sakura moves to shapeshift her brain off, Gizette protests and they continue with the operation, Sakura having some reservations.

Aife finds the little girl again, and they have a brief conversation, she disappears again. She tries to look at the little bit of blood drawn by her sword, by the logrus wants to have nothing to do with it, it’s full of Pattern.

Thomas speaks with Benedict and gets a rose from him for Bleys. He places on Bleys, and induces a feeling of nihilism. Bleys spills his guts, that Gerard has been bringing this giant army to bear, and plans to expose a weakness of Benedict. He also hands over the keys for his chains. He also talks about House Candent being his new vision for Amber.

Giz (tries to) sedates Fiona with a tube from Merganthe (a stasis tube). Mergante would be happy to provide one if he had time to build one. She ends up throwing her into a slow-time place, and then brings up Pattern to go to the army of her desire.

Afie heads back to Chaos, and notices the blazing Pattern thing going on in Chaos, she joins the group. They talk. They all start shadow walking towards the army. Aife makes a call to some chaosian guy (???).

Thomas speaks with Brand, and asks if he’s gotten hold of Gerard. Gerard is unavailable, supposedly on a mission of Benedict. He asks if there’s a way Brand could send Thomas to Gerard? Brand says he’ll work on it. Tomas then calls Durus, and has a conversation about his father. Afterwards, Brand calls Thomas and throws him into a shadow near Chaos. Thomas starts walking…

Aife brings up the unusual girl, and others mention they think she’s some sort of emissary to the unicorn. Aife shares that the girl had spoken to Benedict several times.

Tomas examines the area, finds a super-competent army. Any one member is much better than Thomas

The rest of the team shows up and exposes where Thomas is hiding. Aife brings up logrus, Durus brings up pattern. Gerard steps forward and offers to come in to talk. Everyone agrees to join. It’s tea time! There’s a lengthy conversation about Gerard’s motivations, that something needs to be done. He asks for Aife to lead the army, and she agrees, but makes it clear it’s for her own reasons.

Gizette heads to Amber, (missing bit) She springs Julian and then checks on Bleys, who’s not coming out. She gets claws and rakes into the guards, and eventually finds another rose on Bleys. Bleys then perks up and holds off the guards, then tries to spring Eric. Brand and Benedict pops into the area, and Gizette tries to trump out, but gets a great stab wound in the gut. They trump back to Chaos.

Thomas reports to Benedict, and informs him that Gerard is behind the armies. Benedict grabs Thomas and Brand, and eventually Durus. Benedict leaves to collect armies.

Sakura heads to a shadow where Benedict will be alone, and shifts into a tree.

Aife, Solomon and Caine are with Gerard. Caine is trumped (by Brand) and leaves. Aife assumes that Thomas has informed Benedict and that he is on his way or that he’s raising armies.

Benedict trumps into a shadow and meets Sakura (tree) alone in the forest. Sakura talks with Benedict, and offers a chance to talk with her in a non-confrontational matter. Ben tries to blow the tree off, but Sakura persists. He admits he is on his way to break Gerard, and that Sakura does not wish to see any more of her relatives die. “It’s easy to walk away, I’m a tree.”

Gizette states to Bleys and Julian, “No more armies!” And they admit they don’t know of any more layers to this ‘plan’. She has the confrontation to make them stop warring. The brothers make it clear they will help their brother.

Brand and Durus have a discussion, which leads to a discussion about Fiona. Fiona is retrieved (more later)

Benedict arrives. He calls for Eric to be brought up from the dungeons. They head into shadow.

Aife, Gerard, and Solomon start moving through shadow. Solomon trumps Diedre, who lustfully agrees to come through. Gerard and Diedre talk, and Diedre agrees to help with the attack.

Durus gets a blood animal on his shoulder, saying to meet Sakura out in shadow. Sakura wishes to watch, and shifts into Durus’ horse. They rejoin the army and continue on.

Benedict heads out and threatens to kill Eric if Gerard does not come out and talk with him. Aife and Gerard talk, and Aife offers herself in an exchange for Eric. Gerard, Aife and Diedre head out into the talking area. Benedict, Durus (with secret Sakura horse!) with Eric in tow go out into the area. Caine and Solomon conspire.

Gerry trumps Gizette, and informs him of the potential exchange. Gerry is surprised that Bleys and Julian have been sprung. Gizette makes a note of the shadow he’s in. The call is done, and Gizette trumps Solomon who is already in contact with Caine.

They meet in the field. Ben has a moment where he looks like he’s going to speak, but a wave of rage crosses him, and he leaps at Gerard. Aife moves to block, Durus moves to KO eric who is trying to interfere. Diedre assist protecting Gerard. All Hell Breaks Loose.

Benedict is stabbed by Aife, Ben stabs Gerard through the neck, Ben screams, all of the armies clash. Durus goes for Aife. Gizette is coming, Aife takes a heavy blow to the back from Durus, Sakura grabs Gerards’ head. Gizette is lunging for Benedict. Solomon is rushing forward. Tomas trumps back, is rushing the battlefield. Giz gets Ben to the infirmary. Brand trumps Solomon, and says, “My King is dead.” And goes after Solomon, who is surprised that he’s pretty good. He cuts the call, Giz gets through to Solomon and comes through.

Diedre starts to engage and Durus, Aife calls to Diedre to cover Eric. Diedre suddenly freezes and is in some sort of mental combat. Durus throws Diedre and attempts to slam her into Aife. Aife jumps over and hurls her not super sword at Brand/Fiona psychic team. Tomas notes the sword flying past and does nothing. Giz trumps out with Solomon, Caine, and Saku-Rard (Sakura/Gerard).

Aife and Durus are matched in mortal combat. Durus throws a ton of his strength into the blocks and blows, which jars Aife. They converse about disengaging in exchange for taking Diedre and Eric, but they stop in that discussion when Thomas grabs Eric and he trumps out. Aife and Durus lock in a death lock. Giz & Solomon get in a psychic lock with Aife and Durus. Giz pulls Aife out and Solomon locks Durus and asks him to desist. Durus is finally released by Solomon, and Durus initiates a retreat.
