Session 4

Characters in Attendance:

When we last left our adventurers… Gizette is away (House Candent). Solomon, Sakura, and Durus are on Solomon’s ship. Aife is in Amber. Thomas is with Eric in shadow.

GM Note: Everyone gets 20 more points to add to their character as they see fit.

Thomas marches towards Amber.

Aife collects Fiona and Benedict from the basement. Corwin finds them and makes a note that the King is now dead. Aife speaks with Corwin, and seems to have some questions about Corwin going through a coronation. Corwin makes it clear that it’s fine if Aife wants to stay as long as she doesn’t interfere. Aife asks if he’s seen the strange Ellison-shaped ghost girl, which he hasn’t. Corwin heads off.

Thomas wakes to find that Eric hasn’t risen yet, and goes into his tent to find Caine slitting Eric’s throat. Thomas launches into Caine aggressively, wrecking the tent and pushing Caine to the defensive. Thomas pauses for a moment into his launch to ask why Caine did it, Caine says he was sent by Solomon. As Caine trumps away, Thomas takes off his hand with the trump card by throwin his sword.

Gizette speaks with Bleys about the recent events, and that there may be a point where the family needs to break their relationship with the Unicorn, or some way to try to fix the awful metaphysical problem. She gets a trump call from Thomas (1 shot!) and he hands through a wounded Eric and steps through. Gizette attempts to heal him, but he seems to have some sort black dark thing in the wound – poison – that is turning his physical body into putty. Her shifting doesn’t seem to be affecting the black spot, or even allowing her shifting to work. She brings up Pattern, and is blown across the room, which doesn’t help Eric. Thomas asks if finding the poison from Caine would help, she says yes. Thomas prepares to go after Caine.

Sakura, Solomon and Durus are (inset action here) and Sakura gets a trump from Briona asking where Durus is. They put them off. Then get a trump from Gizette (1 shot!) asking for Sakura’s help to heal Eric, they all step through, and Briona attempts to pull Durus out of the trump gateway. The combined minds beats Briona off. They get through and Sakura starts tending to Eric. Durus and Thomas exchange looks and shake now that the King is dead. Solomon attempts to trump Caine backed up by Bleys

Once the Eric has been removed from the Primal Chaos gak, and it starts to absorb the house. There’s a knock at the door from Lady Jorel, who doesn’t seem pleased with a tunnel of Primal Chaos going through, only losing several rooms in the process.

Aife brings up the Logrus against Briona trying to trump them. Briona attempts to hurt her? Missed that part. Aife speaks to Corwin and asks for the body, and wants the body. Corwin says no, but Aife grabs the body anyways with Logrus and leaves.

The group in Candent speak of the events, and then Giz gets a trump from Corwin (1 shot!) and Corey informs Giz that Aife has taken the body of Benedict. (We are listening!!!) He invites her to the coronation, but Giz doesn’t’ seem keen on coming to Amber since the unicorn is there. Solomon and Sakura is invited as well. BRIONA asks who else is there. Giz asks if she can help and offers to help them separate.

Afie drops the Benedict Body off at her shadow and then goes to House Candent. The group is all together! There’s discussion over the causes of all of this. Thomas brings up some roses, and investigation ensues. There’s a rumbling in the house as Briona shows up, asking for Durus, rupturing through House Candent. They head outside to fight, and Giz and Solomon plead with Briona to hold off and offer to grow Fiona a new body. Briona throws energy balls at the group, Durus shoots his disruptor which is dispersed, but seems to affect his arm. Giz gets her tranq darts from the House and charges Briona, which she is flung away but gets to embed her dart into Brand’s body. Solomon hacks at the energy tendrils, and eventually Brand tumbles. Durus has the chance to kill Brand, but it held back by Sakura. Giz scoops up Brand and puts him in a slow-time pocket.

Aife and Thomas head to Amber, Aife drops Tom off at his army, he collects Caine’s trumps as well as the Jewel. Thomas finds Corwin and Diedre in the throme room, Aife finds Diedre in Flora’s room, they are talking… Aife reaches out to Diedre’s rose, and an Explosion! Flora thanks Aife for getting rid of Diedre she was threatening Flora.

Giz and Company shadowwalk towards the disturbance That which is Influencing the Unicorn. They start heading towards a Very Nasty Place, and Sakura becomes Sak-Duru-Mon! They quickly arrive at the Logrus. They meet up with the Serpent. Gizette pleads with the Serpent to stop all of the deaths of the elders.

Tom follows Corwin & Diedre to Flora’s explosive room, Aife hides. Llewella, Julian, Random, Martin, Excelsior are in the throne room and are following up to investigate, with unnamed children Adrienne, and Finndo. The women all have roses showing. Corwin tends to Flora’s wounds after getting an explanation and Corwin lays a rose into Flora’s hair. Aife strikes out from her hiding space and slices into the rose, and goes to hurt Corwin’s sword arm. Aife knocks the rose away from Flora, and the whole pack goes after Aife. She manages to knock Llewella’s rose out, and runs away. Thomas grabs Flora before the pack returns and escapes as well.

Sak-Duru-Mon decides to attack the Serpent, and the Horn from Sakura infuses with Helioventar, which glows with radiant Pattern power, as the blade lunges as it lunges for his good eye. It blocks the blow for just a moment with its fangs, but they break as the spirit of Amber attacks the Spirit of Chaos. The serpent recoils and shifts into a large vile version of itself as it gushes black vitriol blood. Sak-Duru-Mon lunges upward, and stabs the blade again up through its jaw, its blade spearing through the empty socket. A trump gate opens up and the Unicorn appears, attacking Sak-Duru-Mon as well. They are fighting, and seem to be close, but they are not sure if they’ll win.

Gizette trumps Thomas, and Thomas desperately reaches through to Gizette with Flora. They look upon the battle and Flora runs. Aife and Thomas join the battle. When the dust clears two gods are dead. Who knew?

Aife and Thomas move through Castle Amber and remove roses from the family. Corwin and Diedre escape, grievieously wounded.

The group eventually chases Corwin & Diedre through shadow and they find them in a shadow where only Corwin and Diedre can exist. Everyone except Thomas head in, and deflower Diedre, and then bully Corwin to let Diedre go and stop doing the rose thing. She warns him to not come towards her for ten years.
