Hi, Ben

A couple of things I wanted to discuss if we may.

1 - Gizette's relationship with Benedict hinges on one very crucial thing - Julian's status. If Benedict has had an 'issue' with Julian and harmed him in any way (especially if Benedict has killed him) - then Gizette is definitely Benedict's enemy. Though she won't move against him out of loyalty to throne of Amber.

2 - Since Gizette spends most of her time these days (and for the last few centuries) wandering through Shadow at speed, I'd kind of like her to be an expert Shadow-walker - hence the Advanced Pattern and Shapeshift. Still not so much the 'Phenominal Cosmic Power' type (though I imagine living with Bleys for a couple of centuries is going to cause some rub-off

3 - Given the above, I was wondering if I could have Gizette be kind of a connector to any Family still living or in exile or in hiding. Not so much to pull a conspiracy together or anything but just kind of keeping in touch. What do you think?

Hey Leslie,

1. Mike is playing a child of Julian... Julian is definitely alive, but his status is undetermined at the moment. I'll talk to him tonight about it and see what we can work out

2. This makes a lot of sense to me, and is A-OK

3. Yeah, this sounds totally reasonable to me as well, and very much in theme with Gizette.

You didn't explicitly call out your link, but I assume it to be Bleys?

BTW, your physical description has to be one of the most evocative I've ever read, bravo!

One more question: You avoid Benedict, but does the idea of Amber still hold sway? Do you wish it to be different or do you accept his and the unicorn's actions?

Also, what?! No slash fan fiction for a character contribution? (hehe)

Re Description - Thanks for the nod - I did enjoy writing it.

Re Avoidance - Gizette was torn throughout the first game and remains still very much torn. She is absolutely loyal to the ideal of Amber and the reality of the Unicorn. And she accepts the King's and Unicorn's actions. She's just not real... happy about it.

Re Slash-Fic - I've been absolutely toasted these last few weeks and was worried I might not be able to maintain any kind of contribution. Much less slash-fic.

Sorry, I talked with Mike a little bit about Julian, he is definitely alive, and also working against Benedict. I believe he has not yet revealed himself, and so has not crossed Benedict, yet.

Gizette isn't 'working against' Benedict. She's just staying out of his way. Is Julian then still Warden of Arden and all 'official' goodness in Amber?

Ben? I have a lot of things planned for Gizette to do in-between games and while the first thing is definitely talk to Solomon, I'm afraid that's moving so slowly I'm not going to get to the rest. Any suggestions?

Okay,

Gizette's first plan after leaving Solomon is to sneak back into Amber castle (shape-shifted as necessary) and down to the dungeons. Using the keys she stole from Durus, she would let herself into Bleys' cell. And hug and cry on him a little but not release him. Her question is "What did you mean back there - 'He already knows'?" Her eyes are full of fear.

Bleys looks at you with love filled eyes, but not the same eyes that looked at you over the last few centuries... something has changed. "I... I... I simply meant that the King already knew of my plans... He... he... you should do what he asks... He is a good King, worthly of our loyalty."

As you check him over, trying to assure yourself of his well being, you will find a red rose on his person. At this point, Durus will walk in. We can continue this over at DurusAndGizette...

If you want to give more keys to more imprisoned amberites, you're going to have to get creative, Durus didn't notice perhaps only because he was letting a husband and wife have a moment

Any of the power people... Fiona, Brand if you think you could trust them, many people in choas. A number of people would be more trained (if not more powerful) in these areas, but they would certainly need access to the body, and like was said, there's really nothing there, just an echo of what once was Elison.

With Fiona, Gizette's going to use her Advanced Shape-shift; Shape-shift Others skill to firstly see if she can figure out what's going on with Fiona (after all, she didn't drown her that hard ) and then see if she can fix it.
