Character: Thomas
Thomas' recent trump depicts him in the gardens of Amber on an early spring morning, as the dark clouds begin to break and the dawn shines through in speckles of bright yellow gold. He sits on a stone bench, slightly leaning forward and his left arm resting on his knee. Dressed in a simple shirt and trousers, they show signs of labor and grit -- either from travel or labor. His skin seems darker, which suits his raven black hair and gray eyes. His fingers and nails are rough from working in soil, or blood. A pair of russet red gloves sits next to him on the bench. Thomas' expression is of reserved satisfaction, of a job well done or time well spent.
In the last great conflict when the Gods fell, Thomas had rescued his father from the dungeons of Amber, spiriting him away from the clutches of King Benedict. When Eric was proclaimed King, Thomas stayed as regent until Eric recovered from his wounds. Since then, he has been at his father's side assisting in the continued security and safety of Amber for the good of the family and its people. Thomas is usually a gruff man, wanting to be left to do his work for the crown and be at peace. He typically seems aggravated, but has been known to have some moments of sympathy and compassion.

Character: Carmen
Like her mother and grandfather before her, Carmen's childhood was marked by loss and tragedy. Brought to the Courts of Chaos shortly after her mothers death, the newborn Carmen was raised by a courtier named Cu'Runn. Although a good friend of Aife's, Cu'Runn chose to teach her the politics of court and etiquette in lieu of the martial arts in order to spare her the fate of following in her mother's footsteps and seeking vengence. It was in this manner that the daughter of Aife, the trickster of Amber, grew up to be nothing like her parents.
It was not till 18 years later that Carmen made her first appearance in Amber. It was during a visit to Chaos that King Eric showed the family that he truly was his father's son. Falling in love, courting, and proposing in a matter of days(although some accounts in Chaos go a bit differently) Eric swept the young and naive girl off her feet and hastily returned to Amber with their new queen. Carmen has since spent her time getting a feel for her new home and becoming acquainted with the family. It is quietly rumored, however, that those she becomes too acquainted with tend to find themselves running diplomatic missions to Yigg.
In the one family trump card of Carmen she sits on a balcony overlooking the city of Amber. It is night time and the full moon hangs at it's zenith. She is a young woman slender and petite with long silver hair tied in a single long braid. She hold a evening primrose in her hand and the Royal seal of Amber is visible on her finger. Eric explicitly forbids any trumps of Carmen to be made aside from his own out of concern of what others might manipulate her into doing or believing. Caosian trumps do exist, however, from before she came to Amber. In these, she appears as a young woman carved from glass and silver clothed only in her ankle length hair that seems to glow with the color and intensity of burning magnesium. Her head is turned in a shy manner and you can see blood red eyes and a pleasant smile of sharp teeth.

Character: Mourn
Austere, pale, removed. Cool blue eyes look out of a narrow, unlined face framed with black hair, eyes that have too much of Eric about them to be a coincidence. Dressed in sheaths of fine, dark fabric, Mourn is perfect, spare, ghost-like ... and unamused.

Chris Champlin
Character: Simon
Tangled red-brown hair that rarely sees a comb, much less water. Blue eyes lined with centuries of shadow and darkness still somehow
pierce to the very soul, with what could be insight, madness, or both.
A body that is no stranger to the pains of imprisonment, yet still it lives on. Black and brown clothing ill-fitted and in tatters, as if scavenged from a waste heap. Simon is a picture of the forgotten man. The Tattered One. Yet somehow there is a glimmer of nobility. A tenacity. An eternal patience learned with being a prisoner from when the worlds were still new. In some odd way his gaze is disturbingly familiar... from the feeling one is being watched but no one seems to be around.

Character: Durus
A thousand years ago, General Durus Valens was one of King Benedict's right-hand blades. Proud warrior son of Gerard, Durus remained loyal to the King when others turned against him, and was one of his last standing defenders. However, things changed with the deaths of Benedict, the Unicorn, and the Serpent.
Freed from his service, Durus wandered Shadow. After being instrumental in the deaths of the gods, Durus pondered the nature and necessity of divinity. This questing has lasted for hundreds of years. Seeking philosophers and holy men across Shadow, and using his Pattern abilities to shore up the local reality, a following sprang up around the man known as the Seeker. Today the Church of the Seekers can be encountered widely across shadow, a philosophical search that became a belief system, perhaps a religion of anticipation, seeking understanding of the divine. While they recognize no current gods, they revere Sakura the Keeper. Their symbol is a tree whose branches form a portion of a Path that might be familiar to Amberites.
Durus the Seeker is a huge, dark, bald man wrapped in yards of bark-brown cloth that form a long hooded robe. He carries a large, rough-hewn wooden staff.

Character: Gizette
Trump Description:
(Gizette is openly represented in the Family Trump deck as, at one time, anyone might need to call on her services.)
I couldn't help but chuckle at the next card. Gizette always had that effect on me. A bright laughing girl, Gizette's blue eyes seemed to twinkle with the laughter that was always part of her life. Her blonde hair was cropped short, exposing of her heart-shaped face and mischevious smile to all the world.
The painter had caught Gizette in one of her rare still moments. She sat upon a fine white mare, reins held loosely and confidently in one gloved hand and I remember that Julian's little sister boasted that she could ride any mount ever bred with the exception of the Mighty Morgenstern. She hadn't been proven wrong in my memory.
Gizette wore a vest of sapphire blue with gold piping over a peasant blouse of whitest linen. One shapely leg clothed in matching sapphire blue trousers showed against the horse's saddle. Brown leather gauntlets and boots folded back at the knee completed the attire of Oberon's premiere courier.

Character: Solomon
Solomon, at the time just another hand in Caine's fleet, attempted to mutiny at the age of 16. The mutiny wreaked havoc on the fleet and in order to avoid further loss of numbers Caine agreed to duel Solomon for control. Solomon was defeated that day, but realizing Solomon was his son, and seeing in him a valuable, yet dangerous asset, Caine spared Solomon's life and placed him as second in command.
At 18 Solomon was taken to walk the pattern. Immediately after returning to the sea, Solomon again challenged Caine for leadership of the fleet and again lost. This time Solomon chose to leave instead of resuming second and went to find his way in Shadow.
At the time of Benecit's death, Solomon had returned to the vicinity of Amber with a pirate fleet to prey on trade in the Golden Circle. He joined other Amberites in the struggles against the Unicorn and the Serpent.
Comments
I'm pretty sure that Mourn and Simon are basically unknown by the other Amberites... Correct me if I'm wrong, and feel free to form connections, but you would've just met them, I think....
