Amber Dreaming Session 01

I feel a need to say this, the disclaimer from many online games: Game experience may change during play.

Julian and Llewella are off to an early start to a morning in Amber, as Julian is conducting patrols in Arden with Llewella observing, quite interested in Julian. Julian is notified by one of his birds that there are beasts from the Black Road ahead in a clearing, and he launches off on Morganstern to intercept, with Llewella behind. He arrives upon the scene, as a dozen or so dark horses are making quick work of a bear carcass. The horses are black, with razor sharp hooves and teeth. Julian immediately engages, and quickly finds out that the seem to teleport, turning temorarily into gray wisps of smoke then rematerialzing close-by.

Amber Dreaming Session 02

Where we last left our victims:

Llewella, Corwin, Flora (Kath) and Julian were in Amber, Pharamond was on (Dreaming) Earth, preparing for a “meeting”.

Julian tries to see Random, but he’s got a private conference

Pharamond arrives in Cincinatti, he checks his laptop and finds that he was in Cincinatti six weeks ago, dealing with several transporation figures (subway, bike racks, etc.) He looks for the last time Ishtar used a limo. The last transporation Ishtar took was a subway and a bus to a certain stop, which was at six pm. It’s midnight currently. He gets to the stop, it’s full of closed pawn shops, strip clubs, and bars. He goes to the vandalized bike rack and tries to snap off a bar, he’s not able to but does bend the bar. He does attract some attention but no one messes with him. He does try to change his appearance, with sucsess. He heads into the Breast Bet Café, a curry smell / hindu music playing, as Ishtar is working the pole in the strip club. Isktar makes a note of him entering, and notes him, he goes to the bar and orders a drink.

Corwin and Random are in private conference, and Corwin tries to trump Merlin – however, it’s full of static. He concentrates, but to no avail. They decide to head to the last known event of Merlin, which is at Corwin’s Pattern. However, once they arrive at the area, Corwin feels like something is wrong. Not being quite sure, they finally decide to head off in a direction.

Llewella is heading up the stairs to Tir, when she is trumped by Merlin. HE asks if his dad’s okay, and he says it’s not Merlin’s fault. He comes through, to find that Merlin looks worse for wear. They talk for a while and then decide to head down to the Pattern in Amber.

Julian stares at the Tir stairs for a while and walks up, keeping the Pattern in mind. He pops away…

Pharamond and Ishtar talk at the strip club. Ishtar is still recovering from a long painful breakup, and she’s still recovering. He warns her that things may go south with the meeting he has coming up, and lets her know he’s meeting with the former owner of Hell. Ishtar wishes him luck and he heads out. He senses that there’s an intersection that’s down that’s causing all sorts of problems. He thinks sabotage, and heads over. It’s very early in the morning, working on tearing up the M5. He takes up an aura of authority… and then searches for the head of the construction project. He doesn’t get any transportation answers, and then tries searching for someone who never existed. Some sort of odd ping happens, but the results are different.

Corwin and Random head off from Corwin’s Pattern, and Corwin starts walking away… and then convinces Random to drive, which turns out not to be very useful. They holler for Merlin for a while, and Random finally decides on a direction. The scenery change, and they come upon (a f’king awesome to Corwin) castle. They argue over Merlin and the “Jewel”… and Random admits that yesterday he lost the Jewel. They brainstorm for a bit and are interrupted by a page, who addresses Corwin as his Majesty and tells him that officials are here to see him. Random and Corwin follow the page back to the castle, and talk along the way.

Merlin and Llewella are in the hall, when Merlin pales and hites from Fiona as Fiona quietly scampers through the hall. They head down the huge amount of stairs, and get to the Pattern Room. To Llewella it looks fine, but Merlin seems distressed and notes that it looks just like Corwin’s Pattern, and that it’s fading. They go through the list of possible experts, Merlin protests wanting to talk to Fiona, but Random and Corwin don’t seem like good people either, so Llewella says she’ll protect Merlin from Fiona. They head back up to Fiona’s rooms and Llewella trumps Fiona. Fiona asks for Llewella to distract Benedict while Fiona heads to Tir. They head to the “peach salon” and they talk about the Pattern, and the idea of heading up to Tir, which Benedict seems to be very against. Llewella asks if Fi’s ready to head out, Ben protests and Llew pulls a sword.

Meanwhile, Lucien comes back into play. He’s in his library, and he remembers he was with Mysti. He speaks with Yorick the skull for awhile, and decides that he needs to go find SOMEONE to talk to. Lucien knows OF many people, but there are few that he’s close with. He deicdes to head to Eve in her cave. As he’s exiting out, one of the guardians at the front gate stops him, and warns him to go no further. In the front courtyard Bukaphalos, the locker combination, squiggle squiggle sniff sniff are close to the three-foot patch of bubbling ick and are completely frozen. He speaks with the guardian, says to seal the front gate and get ready to evacuate. He heads to the cave of Eve, using Dream Weaving.

Pharamond cleans up the mess on M5, and he gets to his appointment on time with Lucifer. (missed some of this)

Corwin and Random get to the castle, Corwin changes and he meets with the Dukes. They state their business and note that the land is fading in the eastern and northern marches. Corwin assures that it’s temporary, but lets it be known that they populous may need to evacuate. He’s says in confidence that he’s looking for his son, he hasn’t been seen since he blew up the north tower.

Llewella and Benedict exchange some blows, and Fi pops out of the room, soon followed by Merlin. Benedict curses, and explains that she’s off to “go kill our brother” – Llew realizes that if she had been imprisoned to ground reality in Rebma, now there may be an amberite in Rebma grounding it. Benedict races up to Tir and pops through. Llew trumps Merlin, they brainstorm for a bit and she grabs Merlin, brings Pattern to mind and they walk up the stairs.

Lucien speaks with Eve, and it seems that this is the result of one of His Children, who is no longer here. Lucien is not in want of anything, he admits to Eve he is happy to take care of things. But of what now? He thanks Eve and heads off to look for Lord Morpheus.

Matthew knows he hasn’t always been a raven, but there’s an additional component to you. Lucien and Matthew talk, Pharamon summons Lucien. They talk, and then they summon Death.

Corwin speaks with Bleys and Random, and they note through who’s missing. They wait for Flora’s report?

Pharamon, Matthew and Lucien discuss plans – Pharamon seems to be building a highway from hell, specifically an underground railroad. He figures not to tell anyone.
